Join the Kansas Aggregate Producers Association – Kansas Ready Mixed Concrete Association for our March Concrete Forum educational series.  Our industry experts will provide the latest, state of the practice information.  Rusty Owings, P.E., Quality Control Manager, Geiger Ready Mix Co., Inc.  will present on Concrete Mix Design Principles.  Megan Dangel, P.E., LEED AP, Technical Services Engineer, Central Plains Cement Company will speak on Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCM’s).

Rusty Owings, P.E., Quality Control Manager – Geiger Ready Mix Co., Inc.

Mr. Owings will provide information on selecting the correct materials and associated proportions for concrete mixes.  His presentation will also include state of the art mix design methodologies along with best practices for using additives.

Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCM’s)
Megan Dangel, P.E., LEED AP, Technical Services Engineer – Central Plains Cement Co.

Ms. Dangel will provide detailed information on commonly used SCM’s. Her presentation will include discussion on the factors determining when SCM’s should be considered for inclusion into a concrete mix design and what general effects can be expected in the batching, placement and finishing of concrete containing SCM’s.
