Join us for the latest information on concrete streets and roads pavement design and construction.  

 Brian Killingsworth,  P.E., National Ready Mixed Concrete Association Executive Vice President - Local Paving,   will lead the program.  Pavement section design,  economical use of reinforcing and base materials,  and best construction practices will be covered.   The program will also feature Michael W. Laney,  P.E., Terracon,  speaking on consideration for concrete pavement soils,  sub-grade preparation, base materials, and inspection.  This Forum will address critical considerations for the entire pavement section to ensure a successful project from design to placement and finishing.

 10:10 am  Design and Construction of Concrete Streets & Roads: Brian Killingsworth will present on Concrete mixtures and base materials, pavement section design, and placement through finishing operations.  This latest industry technology will provide the information necessary for a successful project and ensure long-lasting concrete pavement performance. 
 11:10 am  Why Concrete Pavements? Learn about the latest market dynamics effecting material prices and the benefits of concrete paving including life cycle costs and sustainability considerations.   Speaker: Douglas W. Burns, Ash Grove Cement Company.

 12:00 pm  Soils, Sub-grade, and Base Materials: Understanding grade and based support is critical to pavement performance for both concrete and asphalt.   Learn about materials, construction practices, and inspection for what's underneath the pavement,  and also different base requirements for the two pavement types.   Speaker Michael W. Laney,  P.E., Terracon. 
 1:00 pm  Effects of Increased Competition on Pavement Costs:  Brian Killingsworth will present the latest national research on the positive effect of competition for paving projects.   The surprising results include the cost of both pavement types decreasing.    Come see the evidence gathered from around the country from actual paving bids.
